ainan Train Station is an important historical site of Tainan. Reconstructed in mid 1930s, it is a large-scale Japanese colonial period train station building as Taipei Main Station. At first the station was built in May 1900, it was a wooden western style architecture. After being used for more than thirty years, it became old and out of use. So in 1927, there were some reconstructions like using rail to build the waiting shed, decorated with unique baroque style. The appearance of the building remains almost the same since 1927.
